Last-Minute New Year’s Eve Events at Bars/Clubs by Faneuil Hall

New Year's Champagne Glasses by Jessica Gioglio

With New Year’s only a few days away, time is running out to decide where to spend the last few hours of 2009. Faneuil Hall, an area of Boston cherished by tourists and thirsty locals, is chock-full of bars that consistently cater to big crowds, making this spot a solid, if not rowdier, choice for New Year’s Eve.

Here are several recommendations on places to spend the big night at, with tickets still available: Market, Clarke’s, The Living Room, Ned Devine’s, and Sanctuary.  To learn more about these events, please read my examiner.com article: http://www.examiner.com/x-21772-Boston-Nightlife-Events-Examiner~y2009m12d28-LastMinute-New-Years-Eve-Events-Faneuil-Hall-Edition

Anyone Else Scarf Obsessed? Here's Cute Sale One From Nordstrom

I’ll come clean – I have a LOT of scarves.  My scarf collection runs the gamut from gorgeous silk scarves to dress up formal workwear, to oversized warm winter scarves, and dozens of cozy pashminas in most colors of the rainbow.  Scarves are the perfect way to perk up a simple sweater, cardigan, or t-shirt, and can add a touch of color to a neutral outfit.

Here’s a cute scarf – on sale for $31.90 – at Nordstrom.com that caught my eye in my most recent Shop It To Me email.  I’m thinking that I might need to buy this one, do you agree?

Groupiel0ve Shares Top Holiday Song Picks

Holiday Hotness by GroupieL0ve

I always like to give my parents something slightly personalized with their Christmas presents.  Last year, I gave them Crate & Barrel photo ornaments with sentimental family photos inside.  This year for Christmas, my mother made my job easy by proactively requesting an, “Upbeat holiday mix CD with cover songs by some, new, hip, artists.”  Fair enough.

Instead of doing the work myself, I reached out to GroupieL0ve, a ‘juicy’ Bostonian blogista, and budding music expert, to help me create the perfect holiday music soundtrack.  To my delight, GroupieL0ve was up to the challenge, and uncovered some holiday hidden gems that would have taken me awhile to track down.  Picks on her ‘Holiday Hotness vol. I’ blog entry include tracks by Colbie Caillat, Kenny Chesney, Sean Kingston, and many more.

The newly created GroupieL0ve blog has quickly become my go-to source for all things about Boston’s local music scene.  Written by another savvy local Bostonian, and good friend of mine @Raoooon, she has taken her passion (err obsession) for music and concerts and translated it into something beautiful.  Add to the GroupieL0ve, by visiting: http://www.groupiel0ve.com/
