On Monday night, I walked into my apartment with a big smile on my face following a wonderful Boston Marathon. Whether you watched the race on TV, followed along on social media, or were lucky enough to stake out a spot along the course, the spirit of the Boston Marathon was contagious.

I decided to keep mine simple with my name and love how it pairs perfectly with my favorite dual-faced Urban Outfitters watch.

The Boston Marathon Finish line on 4/14/13
**I wrote this post on the evening of April 15, 2013. It only seems fitting that I re-post today on the one-year anniversary of the Boston Marathon Tragedy. Join me today in taking some time to pause and reflect on the Boston Marathon tragedy and all those affected.**
As someone who has lived in the Boston-area and blogged about Boston for many years, my heart goes out to everyone impacted by today’s tragedy. I am incredibly sad to see the Boston Marathon and my beloved city subject to such a horrific incident. While I have no doubt that Boston will come back stronger than ever, our city and Marathon will still be forever changed.
Although this cocktail is no longer on the menu at The Beehive, I’m going to let you in on a little secret. You can still order it! Called the Beehive Julep, it contains with rum, clementine liqueur, OJ, muddled mint, orange, and limes and ice. The end result is slightly sweet, refreshing and a touch tart. It’s been a favorite for years.
