British Copywriters Have More Fun – Volume 1

As a writer, one of the random delights of living in London is reading the various signs, packages and other labels. From descriptors, to cheeky one-liners, I’ve come to the conclusion that British copywriters have more fun. Here’s why.

I love how Pret calls its fresh mini baguette’s a “crinkly old bag,” even if as the company says, “the bag isn’t really old and what’s inside is freshly made.”

I discovered Ostrich eggs in my local Whole Foods. The producer, Clarence Court, uses the tagline “Fabulous eggs by fabulous birds.”
