LONDON

Happy Birthday To Me!!

It’s hard to believe that I’m already celebrating another year! They say time flies when you’re having fun, and this sentiment rings especially true after a year of travel and exploring London. So, when I realized another Birthday was on the horizon, I decided to plan a fun night out at my favorite cocktail pub, The Marylebone.

With a table booked and delicious cupcakes from Bea’s of Bloomsbury in tow, it was a wonderful night with friends. After almost two years in London, I felt very blessed and grateful to have made so many wonderful friends to celebrate with me. As an expat, it takes about a year or so to feel settled and it’s very clear to me that I’m now hitting my stride about two years into life in London!

In case you’re wondering, I was wearing a matte black and gold sequin top from Karen Millen, purchased in London and I curled my hair using my trusty Remington curling wand, also purchased in London, which is so easy to use!

Also amazing? The many happy birthday messages and photos from friends and family. Here are a few humorous, inspiring and heartfelt ones sent to me by my friends:

“December birthdays are the best!”

“When are you joining the cast of Ladies of London?”

“One of the best things about London being Open is that you are here. Honored to call you my friend.”

“My Birthday wish for you is that you continue to love life and never stop dreaming. May beauty and happiness surround you not only on your special day, but always. Hope all is well in your world these days.”

All in all, I got 150+ Facebook messages, not including the texts, whatsapp messages and calls. It is my plan to respond to every single one. It takes a good amount of time to do this, but is very much worth it.

Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate in London & for all of the wonderful birthday messages! I feel so blessed to have so many amazing people in my life. Thirty-four is already shaping up to be a fabulous year! xoxo
